Post Partum Pal is a grassroots effort dedicated to providing postpartum support within the first six months for families in Sacramento. We believe in the practices and traditions of Indigenous peoples by supporting families with a network of compassionate and skilled individuals who are eager to care for them. From birth workers and lactation specialists to chefs, bodyworkers, and even dog walkers—our village is made up of Sacramento PALS ready to lend a hand.

In today’s fast-paced world, postpartum parents often find themselves isolated and overwhelmed. But it doesn’t have to be this way. By embracing the wisdom of our ancestors and coming together as a community, we can create a support system that ensures every family in Sacramento and beyond receives the care and resources they need to thrive.

We understand the importance of nourishing both the body and the spirit during times of transition. Through generous donations, we provide new families with gift cards to food delivery and meal prep services, offering a helping hand when it's needed most.

Pals
Volunteer "Pals" from body workers to dog walkers, grocery runs to postpartum doula care, our dedicated Pals are here to help families navigate the first six months after birth. Our Pals will be matched to each family based on their specific needs and provide assistance and companionship during this crucial time of adjustment and healing.

Kaylynn (she/her) proudly identifies as a bi-racial, queer femme, bringing a wealth of diverse perspectives to our mission.
With her home community close to her heart, Kaylynn yearned for the communal support system her Mexican ancestors once provided to new families. Kaylynn embarked on this important mission, recognizing that there's no better place to learn how this can work than her home city of Sacramento.
